With over 30 years of experience in leading B2B software businesses, Mitchell has proven expertise in strategic planning, business development, mergers & acquisitions, product management, and software design & methodology. Mitchell’s businesses have spanned retail, oil & gas, logistics and insurance, and have won numerous awards for excellence and rapid growth.

Educated at McGill University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, retail technology visionary Howard Stotland founded STS Systems in 1973, a leading provider of information systems to the petroleum and retail industries. The firm grew from a start¬up in Montreal to an organization with more than 750 employees in Canada, the US and the UK, with revenues exceeding $135 million.
STS Systems serviced more than 300 retail businesses, and its client list read like a Who’s Who in retailing: Barneys NY, DKNY, Escada, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Chicos, Gymboree, Dicks, Bobs, Holt Renfrew, Reitmans, Roots and Jones New York.
Howard has sat on the Board of Directors of Reitmans Canada Ltd. (a speciality retail chain of 900 stores), Danier Leather, and Canada Health Infoway. Howard successfully exited investments in Blueslice Networks and Oceanwide where he was a Director as well.

Diane has a proven record of success in high growth retail organizations and is known for delivering technology and business process innovation that drives results.
With deep retail knowledge across the enterprise, Diane served as CIO for leading retail organizations – Ulta Beauty and Reitmans Canada Limited – and is currently on the board of directors at Dollar Tree, Shoe Carnival, and Flexe. She served on the Executive Committee of the National Retail Foundation CIO Council and on the Advisory Council of Chicago CIO. Her industry recognition also includes being named to the Chain Store Age “Most Influential Women in Tech” list in 2015 and 2018.

David has a long history in Retail Technology both as a C-level Executive and as a hands-on developer. After starting his career developing Point-of-Sale Solutions and automated Distribution and Warehouse Management Systems, David joined STS and helped leading retailers like La Senza, Forzani, Tommy Bahama, Tommy Hilfiger, Chico’s, Foot Action and numerous others deploy innovative solutions.
David became CEO of NSB, the successor to STS Systems and continued to expand the business into new markets including Australia with clients like Specialty Fashion Group, Sussan Group, and General Pants.
In 2008, David became EVP and GM of Epicor Retail after successfully engineering the sale of NSB to Epicor (Epicor Retail operates under the name of APTOS). After leaving Epicor in 2010, David began a consulting practice that provides strategic and operational guidance to retail technology companies including Momentis Systems.

Matthew graduated from Boston University in 2006 with a major in Computer Science. He began his career as a solutions architect and also founded Yellow Bird Project, an e-commerce store that predated Shopify. Throughout his career, he closely followed the rapid advancements in e-commerce technology.
In 2014, he co-founded Otimo Retail and has led the firm since its inception. Otimo has participated in nearly 20 financings, including seed, Series A, and Series B rounds, as well as several majority acquisitions.

In June 2021, Danny joined XCCommerce as CEO and then was appointed as a member of the Board in December 2023. An experienced leader in the retail industry, Danny oversees the company’s global operations, focusing on driving growth of the business and operational efficiencies.
Danny has 25+ years of extensive experience in the retail software business, with roles in sales and marketing, strategic partnerships, and services. Danny began his career with STS Systems and then held key senior leadership roles within Aptos. He was responsible for growing Aptos’ revenue leading to the company’s acquisition by Goldman Sachs.

Board Observer
Nicolas began his career as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York where he spent +5 years before joining the world of financing in 2014. His prior experiences include senior debt financing at the Bank of Montreal (Corporate Financing – Diversified Sectors) and in subordinated debt financing at Roynat Capital.
In his current role as Investment Director at Desjardins Capital, Nicolas acts as a facilitator in identifying flexible solutions tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs.
Nicolas’ experience in traditional and non-traditional financing combined with his current role as an investor allow him to have an innovative and bespoke approach that optimizes the growth capital needs of entrepreneurs while maintaining adequate capitalization.
Nicolas holds a CPA designation from the New York State Education Department and an MBA from McGill University.
