Omni-channel multi-language promotion + coupon solution for Tailored Brands

Tailored Brands is a fashion retailer with multiple brands and locations across North America, with annual revenues of approximately $3 billion. Featuring leading menswear retailers Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, Moores Clothing for Men, and family retailer K&G Fashion Superstore, Tailored Brands is a leading omni-channel specialty retailer, who helps its customers look and feel their best by delivering personalized products and services through their global network of stores and e-commerce sites.

Tailored Brands required a promotion solution that could adapt to market conditions by creating promotional offers at a more granular level. Previously, its existing sales applications could not support all the related master data needed to support promotion creation on a large array of attributes.  Using its existing systems, custom promotions required manual intervention by sales representatives, resulting in consistency issues and revenue loss.


Tailored Brands implemented the XCCommerce (XC) Promotion Solutions Suite to support an omnichannel multi-language promotion and coupon solution, while still allowing for promotions to be unique to each brand, regardless of the sales channels in place. XCCommerce’s innovative promotion engine allowed Tailored Brands to deliver consistent behaviour across all its sales channels, including possible future brands/channels.

Results Delivered

XC’s Promotion Solution Suite (PSS) supplemental attributes allowed Tailored Brands to support dynamic attribute promotion across all of its brands without the need to augment its existing POS or eCommerce solutions to save this data. Supplemental attributes allowed the sales application to pass minimal information, and for the XC Promotion Execution Module to perform a look up on promotion evaluation.

Tailored Brands integrated its sales applications with XC’s open APIs, while maintaining the flexibility for different promotion responses based on each brand’s unique promotion offering and language requirements.

XCCommerce’s Item Combos were used to support promotions where items could be treated as separate items or a combo for a promotion.   For example, a sport coat and pants being referenced as a single unit “Suit” for promotions like Buy One Suit get One Free, even though each of these items could be purchased separately.

This quick and automated solution from XCCommerce removed the need for manual intervention by sales associates, resulting in reduced margin loss and allowed store staff to focus more on one to one customer interaction.
